Snoring/ Sleep Apnea

It is estimated that more than 80 million people in North America snore while sleeping. During sleep, the muscles and soft tissue in the throat and mouth relax making the breathing airway smaller. This causes the velocity of the air flowing through the airway to increase which in turn causes the soft palate and uvula to vibrate. These vibrations cause the noise called "snoring"

There are comfortable appliances available that keep the airway open, thereby preventing or greatly reducing the noise caused by snoring.
